Delete your CellSync account
This page explains how to delete your CellSync account and the data held against it. You do not need the app installed to make a request, and you do not need to be signed in.
Two ways to do it
1. In the CellSync app
Open the CellSync app and go to Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm. Deletion begins immediately.
2. Using the form on this page
Complete the form below. We'll email you to confirm the request came from you, then delete your account within 30 days of that confirmation.
What is deleted
When you delete your account we remove:
- Your account and profile — name, email, sign-in details, preferences
- Your derived skin metrics and scan history
- Your ingredient scan results
- Your CELA chat history
- Your allergy and sensitivity data
- Your feedback and outcome data
Your facial photographs are never stored in the first place — every skin scan is processed in real time and the image is discarded immediately, so there is nothing to delete.
What we have to keep, and for how long
A small amount of data has to be kept, either because the law requires it or to prove we handled your consent properly:
- Order and payment records — 7 years. Required for HMRC accounting and tax purposes.
- Consent records — 3 years after the account closes. Our audit trail that processing was lawful under UK GDPR.
- Backups — up to 90 days. Deleted data persists in encrypted backups until they roll off, and is not restored to live systems.
Nothing retained is used for marketing, profiling or advertising.
